ABOUT THE UPPER GRAND DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD (UGDSB)
The UGDSB employs a team of approximately 4,000 dedicated staff who serve more than 35,000 students attending a variety of programs across 65 elementary and 11 secondary schools as well as continuing education and adult learning centres in the counties of Dufferin, Wellington, and the City of Guelph. The UGDSB covers the ancestral and treaty lands of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Six Nations of the Grand River, and Saugeen Ojibway Nation.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in a Casual OCT (Office, Clerical, and Technical) role. This opening is specifically for a position on our OCT Supply list. In this role, you will be responsible for providing coverage for a variety of administrative positions in offices of the Board, elementary and secondary schools. OCT Casual Supply staff replace absent administrative/secretarial staff on an as needed basis or for short-term assignments.
Location: All geographical areas of the Board including North Wellington, Centre Wellington,East Wellington, Guelph, Orangeville, Dufferin County and Shelburne. Supply OCT staff may select specified areas in which they would like to work.
Hours of work:While there is no guarantee of hours per week as this is a casual position, a casual employee with full availability can work full-time hours up to 35 hours per week depending on need.
Hourly Rate: The rate of pay varies depending on the position that is being covered; minimum rate is $22.07 per hour, plus applicable vacation pay.
Board Information: Casual; 10 month and 12-month position; Office, Clerical and Technical (OCT) Union
